FAQs

WHO CAN RIDE/FLY?

Anyone, even the physically challenged with special harnesses we provide.

HOW HIGH CAN THE RIDER GO?

For outdoor special events that we supervise, all flights are kept below 200 feet. Inside the ParaDome, the height is limited by the enclosure, which can be as high as 300 feet or more.

CAN THE BALLOON “POP”?

No. The envelope is made of a material similar to Kevlar and does not expand. It is simply a large bag filled with Helium.

HOW FAST CAN THE RIDER FLY?

Inside the ParaDome, pilots can reach 8 knots in the ParaBike.

HOW LONG DOES THE EXPERIENCE LAST?

Riders can stay aloft for minutes or hours.

WHAT IS THE FLIP-HARNESS?

A special harness for in-shape adrenaline-junkies that wish to perform flips while Parabouncing. A few moments of extra training is required.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO TRY PARABOUNCING?

Costs average about $25.00 for a five-minute flight, depending on your location.

IS SPECIAL TRAINING REQUIRED TO PARABOUNCE?

No. However, each rider is shown a short video of what to expect during the experience.

CAN I BUY A PARABOUNCE OR PARABIKE?

Yes, as a Licensee with a permanent, indoor facility or as a corporate sponsor. Contact us for more information.

DO YOU HAVE A CATALOG OR PRICE LIST?

No. Everything we do is custom and specific to the requirements of the project or event.

CAN I RENT A PARABOUNCE?

No. But you can retain our Company and staff to provide the experience for special events. Contact us for details.

CAN PARABOUNCING BE DONE OUTDOORS?

Yes, for promotional, charity and sponsorship opportunities, (weather permitting). You are required to retain our Company for all operation and supervision. Contact us for details.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS TO BECOME A LICENSEE?

Expenses vary depending on your location. Contact us for details.

CAN THE BALLOON ENVELOPES BE SPECIAL COLORS OR SHAPES?

Yes, provided your company becomes a Licensee or retains us for special promotions.

WHAT IS THE SIZE OF THE PARADOME?

All ParaDome structures are custom designed for the specific location, but are a minimum of 200,000 square feet with a ceiling height minimum of one hundred and fifty feet.

DO I NEED A PARADOME TO BECOME A LICENSEE?

No. But you will need an interior location that is approved by us and of sufficient size and design to support the experience.

WHAT IS THE PARADOME MADE OF?

The high strength structural fabric of the ParaDome resists abrasion, mildew, acids, and is Fire Retardant to meet N.F.P.A. 701 Fire Code Requirements. The smooth surface allows snow and rain to slide off and minimizes the clinging of dirt. Custom colors and panels can be installed to meet the Licensee’s requests.

HOW IS THE PARADOME ERECTED?

After the grade beam, anchorage systems and utilities are installed, the fabric is spread out over the area and attached to the anchorage. Once the envelope is attached to the inflation blowers, air is fed into the structure at low pressure, and will inflate to its full shape in less than two hours. When the structure is fully inflated, it can withstand winds of 80 mph. View the Video.

WHAT KEEPS THE PARADOME RIGID?

A steel cable net system is placed over the entire structure. The system disburses the wind force on the total roof and walls and carries any load down to the anchorage beam.

MUST THE GROUND BE SPECIALLY PREPARED?

The ParaDome can be erected over any surface provided the anchorage beam is level around its perimeter. When the structure is removed, the anchorage system leaves no visible protrusions above the ground, so normal use of the grounds can be maintained. The ParaDome structure can be erected over any open area.
